This is Pooja & Salma, Religion of Love's editors, sharing a personal note:

We created this journal as a space for creatives in all media to come together and reach towards something higher, in a way that transcends religious or spiritual boundaries.  That said, it's currently a two-woman operation, and we're students funding website hosting, competition prizes, etc., out of our part-time paychecks.  We do it because we genuinely believe in the beauty a collective like this could create and think there's a need for such a space in the publishing world, but that doesn't make it free.
