This is Pooja, Religion of Love's editor, sharing a personal note:

I created this journal as a space for creatives in all media to come together and reach towards something higher, in a way that transcends religious or spiritual boundaries.  That said, it's currently a one-woman operation, and I'm a grad student funding website hosting, competition prizes, etc., out of my part-time paycheck.  I do it because I genuinely believe in the beauty a collective like this could create and think there's a need for such a space in the publishing world, but that doesn't make it free.
